NTPC CMD flags off first Coal Rake from Talaipalli Mine to Lara STPP

RANCHI/BHUBANESWAR: Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD ,NTPC flagged off the 1st coal rake from Talaipalli Mine to Lara Super Thermal Power Project in Chhattisgarh through the dedicated Merry Go Round (MGR) system  in the august  presence of Shri Chandan Kumar Mondol, Director (Commercial) , Shri Partha Mazumder, Regional Executive Director (Coal Mining), Shri A K Tripathi RED (WR II) & ED(OS) ,Shri S K Ray ,Head of NTPC Talaipalli  ,Shri Diwakar Kaushik , Head of NTPC Lara and Shri Neeraj Jalota ,Head of NTPC Dulanga and other officials.

 This 65 Km long MGR, an engineering marvel, passes through many villages in hilly terrain and through forest areas. With this rake despatch through MGR ,NTPC will be able to maintain a smooth and environmentally friendly coal transportation from its captive mines to its power stations in an uninterrupted way.On this occasion, CMD, NTPC congratulated all from NTPC and its associates, villages & village leaders, state and District Admin for making this happen.

 CMD, NTPC asked Team Talaipalli to ensure the targeted coal production of FY, later senior officials also visited the mine to review the progress of the operations in the South Pit extension and the recently established West Pit. Senior officials also interacted with the mining agencies and took stock of the ongoing activities. Emphasis was given on the need for an early start to sustainable coal production from the pits.

Shri Singh held an interaction with the young executives ,he deliberated on multiple subjects e.g. technical, professional, training, safety, environment, and sustainability. Young executives were encouraged to take on the challenges and to work towards achieving the goals of the company, focusing on the environment and safety as a priority.
