Former Odisha Minister of the Textiles, Fisheries & Animal Resources departments and veteran leader from Mayurbhanj, Golak Naik passed at 65.
Naik was suffering from kidney-related ailment, had visited hospital this morning for dialysis. However, he breathed his last at around 10 am on Wednesday.
He was elected thrice to the Odisha Legislative Assembly– twice as a BJP candidate from Khunta constituency and once as BJD candidate from Udala constituency.
He will long be remembered as a simple, sober, honest, humble, frank & forthright personality in and political landscape of Mayurbhanj.
