TALCHER: Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan today visited his ancestral village Nalam in Kanihaan block of Talcher, Angul district and listened to the 133rd edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ in the presence of party workers and local people.
On this occasion, he said that ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program has become an effective means of mass communication across the country, which creates positive thoughts and awareness in the society and gives impetus to nation building. Regarding the Prime Minister’s message, the Minister said that the success of our scientists in the field of nuclear program and the talent of Kanyarathna in mathematics are a matter of pride for the country. The Prime Minister’s suggestion to use local bamboo products as gifts will further strengthen the ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign.
This message of the Prime Minister, along with the teachings of Lord Buddha and the remembrance of Rabindranath Tagore, has given new impetus to the people of Odisha and the entire country to build a strong India. The call given by the Hon’ble Prime Minister for ‘Digital Census 2027’ is an important step for the progress of the country. Shri Pradhan has called upon everyone to be a part of this great mission and realize the vision of a developed India.
During this visit, Shri Pradhan met the elders and relatives of his village and had cordial discussions. He said, the love of the village and the blessings of the elders will always be an inspiration. I feel happy to have spent some time with them. During this visit, the Union Minister visited the presiding deity of the village, Shri Shri Nrusimha Dev, and wished everyone well. He also paid homage to the statue of the eminent freedom fighter, Purvi Mohan Pradhan, at Kanihan, Talcher. He said that the sacrifice and fearless leadership of Purvi Mohan Pradhan, the leader of the Prajamandal movement, will always be a source of inspiration for the youth.
