RAIPUR/BHUBANESWAR:  Bhartiya Janata Party nominated Renowned social leader and founder Chairman of Lord Jagannath Temple at Raipur, Purandar Mishra as its candidate to contest ensuing Assembly Election.

Shri Mishra has been given Party’s Ticket from Raipur City North Assembly seat. Shri Mishra will be having the privilege of contesting Chhattisgarh Assembly poll as the lone Odia candidate from any nationalised party. It is worth mentioned here that the Gayatri Nagar, where Shri Mishra has founded the largest Lord Jagannath Temple of Chhattisgarh State comes under his electoral constituency. 

Recently Purandar Mishra has been unanimously elected as the President of Greater Odia Samaj in Chhattisgarh. The Samaj has been formed with the representatives of 24 odia communities representing 35 lakhs of odia inhabitants in the state. At present Shri Mishra also holds the coveted position of Chief Patron of Chhattisgarh Branch of World Odisha Society.

The entire Odia Community from the nook and corner of Chhattisgarh welcomed the pleasant news of the announcement of Shri Mishra’s candidature in Assembly poll with much fanfare and massive euphoria.

Congratulatory notes and best wishes have been pouring in from his fans, followers and well wishers from Odisha and across the country. As per family sources several Non Resident Odia leaders from India and abroad have also sent their goodwill messages to Shri Mishra.
