Kendrapara MP Anubhav Mohanty Resigns from BJD, likely to join BJP

BHUBANESWAR:   Kendrapara BJD MP Anubhav Mohanty on Saturday resigned from BJD.MP Mohanty sent his resignation letter to Party President and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

‘I hope this letter find you at the best of your health and happiness . I am writing to inform you of my decision to resign from BJD effective immediately,” Kendrapara MP said. Mohanty is likely to join BJP soon.

Earlier, as many as 3 former MLAs in Odisha on Saturday left their parent parties.Jajpur’s former Korei BJD MLA Akash Das Nayak left Naveen Patnaik led Regional Party while another former MLA  of Bhubaneswar North Seat, Priyadarshi Mishra of BJD, also resigned from the party.Former Congress MLA Chiranjib Biswal also left the INC.  Biswal was a 2 times from Congress MLA from Jagatsinghpur district.

The Lok Sabha polls will be conducted in 7 phases across the country. The polling will be conducted on April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25 and June 1.  Odisha Assembly elections will be held in 4 phases from May 13, May 20, May 25 and June 1.
