BHUBANESWAR:After seven decades of independence, the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi brought the “Nari Shakti Bandhan Act” to empower women. This act ensured 33 percent reservation of seats for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies. It strengthened the participation of women in politics. But the Congress-led indemnity did not pass it in Parliament. The BJD supported it. This makes the anti-women stance of the opposition parties clear.

Their anger is being reflected against this anti-women conspiracy. Protests and agitations are being held all over the place. In support of this anti-women act, a huge “Jan Akrosh Women Padayatra” was organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party in the capital Bhubaneswar on the 22nd. Similarly, “Jan Akrosh Women Sammelan and Padayatra” was organized in every district of the state on the 24th and 25th. Women from different sections of the society have participated in it.

After the district-wide support for this Women’s Akrosh Yatra, now women will protest in all the mandals of the state. In this regard, “Jan Akrosh Women’s Padyatra” will be held in all the mandals of the state for three days from 27th to 29th. A big Women’s Akrosh Mashal Shobha Yatra will be held in Bhubaneswar tomorrow, informed MP Smt. Anita Subhadarshini Patnaik at a press conference held at the state office.

Ms. Patnaik appealed to women from all sections of society to join the Mashal Yatra in large numbers and extend their support to the Mandal-level conference. She said that the BJP will continue to fight for constitutional rights for women.Minister Shri Nityanand Gand, State Women’s Morcha President Dr. Aishwarya Biswal were present on this occasion.
