BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI:The Indian roller skating contingent delivered a historic performance at the Jakarta International Roller Skating Competition (JIRSC) 2026, securing an impressive total of 109 medals. Held from May 29 to 31, 2026, at the Jakarta Roller Skating Track Arena, the prestigious three-day championship brought together over 1,000 exceptional athletes from five nations, including India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Organized by the Jakarta Skating Federation and Persorasi Jakarta, the event showcased elite talent across various age groups and skating disciplines. India fielded a powerhouse contingent of 104 athletes representing eight states: Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Telangana, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra. This widespread participation underscores the rapid growth and development of roller skating across India.
