BHADRAK/BHUBANESWAR:Bhadrak District Cyber and Economic Offences Police Station has taken action against a major cyber crime. The police have arrested three accused involved in a case of fraud of about Rs 6 crore through “Samanvay Portal”. The accused are Enayat Quadri (24), Sahabaz Quadri (21) and Mohammad Farhan Khan (19).
The police have seized Rs 2 lakh in cash, 2 gold bars, 10 ATM cards, 4 passbooks, a chequebook, a mobile phone, an active SIM card, a PAN card, a driving license, and 2 vehicle registration certificates from the accused.
From the initial examination of the mobile phones, the police have recovered a lot of important information including bank account details, ATM card related information, internet banking information, mobile numbers, chat records and other confidential and financial information of the individuals.
Preliminary forensic examination and analysis of the seized mobile phones have yielded bank account details, ATM card details, internet banking details, mobile numbers, chat records and other confidential financial information. After examining all this information, the police have got a lot of important information about the fraud scheme, financial transactions and other accomplices. The investigation has been intensified to identify the links of this inter-state cyber crime network, other involved persons and financial transactions.
