BHUBANESWAR:  A FICCI Forum of Parliamentarians delegation is visiting Tokyo as part of an initiative undertaken by the apex business chamber to enhance ties between India and Japan.

 Led by Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Hon’ble MP, a cross section of Members of Parliament from various political parties in India are on a 3-day visit and have had several important meetings including with Yoshihide Suga, Former Prime Minister of Japan; Yasutoshi Nishimura, Minister for Economy, Trade & Investment; ‘Ganesha Group’ of Japanese MPs with an interest in India; and Ambassador of India Sibi George.

Subhrakant Panda, President, FICCI, and Managing Director, IMFA said: “The India – Japan bilateral relationship is amongst the most important and has grown deeper on account of shared values and strategic interests which are closely aligned.

There are multiple engagements both at multilateral and bilateral level which have added strength, and FICCI will work to bring together various stakeholders – especially businesses on both sides – to realize the full potential.”
