BHUBANESWAR: If sources are to be believed, police reportedly detected assets worth over Rs 35 crore belongs to Honey Trap Blackmailer 28 year old Archana Nag Chand and her husband, BJD leader Jagabandhu Chand. Archana’s husband Jagabandhu Chand, who is allegedly involved in her illegal activities, is on run.
One Khageswar, who is family relative of Archana Nag Chand and her husband, Jagabandhu Chand is also on run. The middle woman for Archan’s blackmailing mission, Sradhanjali’s confession also created buzz among several bigwigs.
Archana’s husband, Jagabandhu Chand originally hails from Baunsabani village of Netua Panchayat under Balasore’s Jaleswar block while his family background is very poor.They both earned huge asserts of crores of rupees through sex scandal and blackmailing.“Investigation has thus far revealed that at least 15 persons, including politicians, bureaucrats and businessmen, had fallen into the trap while more were in the process,” the source added.
Police have arrested her under Sections 341, 328, 324, 354 C, 370, 386/387/388, 389, 419/420, 465, 506, 120 – B of IPC and Section 66 -E, 67 of IT Act.Police is likely to send seized items like Pen Drive, Laptop, Hard Disk , which contains more than 30 nude video clips to forensic laboratory for further investigation.
Archana owns a palatial bungalow of around Rs 3 crore in the city and a farmhouse at Nakhara and has share in a pre-owned car showroom. Luxurious furniture worth around Rs 40 lakh, a fleet of luxury cars and SUVs like Toyota Fortuner and Mahindra Thar and imported interior decoration materials during the raid at her bungalow at Satya Vihar in the Palasuni area.
Some political leaders, hoteliers and businessmen have gifted her around Rs 11 crore in cash, said sources.
If grapevines are to be believed, as many as 3 political leaders were allegedly involved in the Archana Nag Chand’s sex scandal episode.
Police are interrogating the accused Nag Chand, who on Friday arrested on charges of blackmailing. Police have seized two pen drives, containing the objectionable videos and two mobile phones from her possession.
Sources said Nag Chand has in possession on some objectionable video clips of these political leaders and had been continuing to blackmail them. The accused used to target high-profile people like politicians, ministers and film producers and extort money from them by levelling allegations against them.
Even though, names of these political leaders, yet to not surfaced but police, reportedly got some hints on this. Archana’s husband was seen posing photographs with several BJD leaders as he is an active member of the regional party.
Archana Nag Chand in her Facebook profile mentioned that, she is owner at ABC motors & Aditya Villa Production House, Founder & Managing Director Golden Empress Private Limited and advocate with Orissa High Court. She along with her husband, one Chand Babu, own a fleet of vehicles, four pet dogs and a horse. Films were also being shot in the villa, sources said.
The high profile life style of Kalahandi’s, Archana Nag Chand , who on Friday arrested on charges of blackmailing, used to enjoy lavish life style in Capital City , not a single case of such nature but, according to sources, dozen over such active with no action from police.
The accused Archana Nag Chand , has ultra-modern car, bikes, horses and a lavish bungalow in city like Bhubaneswar, even though she not a highly educated.
