GURUGRAM:Hectic preparations are underway to celebrate eighth edition of Raja Mahotsava in Gurugram. Considered as the largest and most popular People’s Festival of Odisha, ‘Raja’ symbolizes the celebration of essence, excellence and exuberance of Odisha. The Parba used to be observed as an obeisance to womanhood at a time, when Mother Earth gets fertile for cultivation during Monsoon Season.

To mark the grand occasion, Kalinga Bharti Foundation (KBF) is all set to host a Two Days long mammoth ceremony on 13th and 14th June 2026 from 5 PM to 10 PM at HUDA community Centre in Sector–4 of Gurugram.The supreme attraction of the Mahotsava would be Odia Food Festival. A massive crowd of non–resident Odias and Odisha lovers numbering around Fifteen Thousand are expected to gather during both the days of the Festival.Ministers and host of other dignitaries are scheduled to grace the Mahotsava as Distinguished Guests. The central Theme of the 8th Raja Mahotsava is “ Dekho Apna Desh ” – Fusion of Dance & Music of various regions.
Contemplated by the Founder National President of the Organising Body, Kalinga Bharti Foundation, Noted Engineer cum Social Leader Akshay Kumar Samal, the Mega Fair will witness the display of Odisha’s rich art, vibrant culture, lofty tradition, glorious history, amazing heritage, melodious music, scintillating dance, awesome attire and mouth watering cuisine.
The main motto of the Mahotsava is to evolve a confluence between colourful cultural legacies of North India, specifically of Haryana with those of India’s best kept secret land of Odisha.This Festival is dedicated to the Mission & Vision of Vikshit Odisha and Vikshit Haryana, which culminates into an ultimate Vikshit Bharat @ 2047.The Two Days long Cultural Fiesta entitled National Folk Dance Festival will showcase presentations of indigenous dance forms by more than 250 artistes from the States of Odisha, Haryana, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
Major Highlights of the Raja Mahotsava and Performing Arts Festival would be installation of Twenty Variety stalls,serving of authentic Odia dishes, availability of Raja Swing, Special Raja Paan, Coronation of Raja Queen,Choosing of Raja Kumari, hosting of various Competitions like Rangoli, Jhoti, fancy Dress, Painting and at last distribution of lucrative prizes through Lucky Draws.
Disclosing that Raja Mahotsava is entry free and open to all , the Chief Organiser Er Akshay Kumar Samal appealed to Sixteen Lakhs Odia inhabitants of National Capital Region to come in large numbers and experience the fabulous fragrance of Mother Odisha. The sole goal of Raja Milan is to unite everybody on the basis of humanity, love and brotherhood irrespective of caste, creed religion and race, Er Samal added.
