SAMBALPUR:No one can stop the progress of an area where the foundation of education is strong, said former Union Minister and Sambalpur MP Shri Dharmendra Pradhan while laying the foundation stone for the construction of a permanent campus of Kendriya Vidyalaya at Redhakhol in Sambalpur district today and inaugurating the temporary building.
Shri Pradhan said that the inauguration of such a permanent educational institution in Redhakhol in this holy month of Shravan is a good sign for the entire region. Due to the will of the local people and intellectuals, the dream of building a central school here after many years has been fulfilled. This will benefit many students in the coming days. With the commencement of this school, the students of our region will get quality education and will be able to easily connect with the modern world.
He further said that Kendriya Vidyalaya is not just a school, but a major hub for quality education, discipline, nationalism and overall development. As per the vision of the National Education Policy, our main goal is to provide multi-disciplinary education to the children and make them employable and self-reliant in the coming days.
Stating that there is a lot of potential for development in Redhakhol, he said that the government has sanctioned Rs 22 crore for the construction of Kerandi Bridge and the tender process has been completed. Priority is being given to providing permanent paved roads and mobile network to all the villages and hamlets of Redhakhol subdivision. Work is underway to promote vegetable, fruit and flower cultivation in the area by improving the irrigation system and to reach the global market and export agricultural products to foreign countries.
MP Shri Pradhan said, “The political views of all parties may be different, but the welfare, service and responsibility of the people are paramount. The development of Sambalpur lies in the development of Redakhol and our government is committed to the prosperity of the 4.5 crore people of Odisha.” He said.
During the program, Shri Pradhan expressed his gratitude to the students, teachers, managing committee and local people of the school. Odisha Panchayati Raj, Drinking Water and Rural Development Minister Shri Ravi Narayan Naik and Redhakhol MLA Shri Prasanna Acharya were prominently present at the program.
