BHUBANESWAR: Inspired by the ideology of the BJP and expressing faith in the developmental work of the double-engine government in the state, former Bhadrak MP Smt. Manjulata Mandal, former Dhamnagar MLA and senior leader Shri Muktikanta Mandal, former BJD state secretary and senior leader of Bhadrak district Shri Shashi Kumar Sahu have officially joined the BJP today, leaving the main BJD.
At the merger ceremony held at the state office, State President and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Manmohan Samal said that under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, BJP has become the largest political party in the world. Everyone is joining BJP today because of the determination and success in BJP governance.
There are BJP and NDA governments in 22 states of the country. Starting from MPs, MLAs to local representatives, BJP has been respected as one party in the year of India. There are many possibilities in Odisha, successful Prime Minister Modi has dreamed of making Odisha the number 1 state. Odisha will have the largest share in the efforts he is making to build a developed India by 2047. Popular Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is making efforts to build a prosperous Odisha by 2036. We all have to cooperate in this. We have to take a resolution to solve the basic problems of the people and move towards developing the state and the country, said Shri Samal.
On this occasion, former Bhadrak District President of BJD Jagannath Swain, Simulia Assembly candidate from BJD in the last general elections Mrs. Subashini Sahu, former Mayor of Basudevpur Municipality Anjulata Mohanty, former Chairperson of Basudevpur Block Parvathi Mandal, Pratap Chandra Behera of Chandbali Constituency, Alekh Chandra Bala, Alok Bala, Abhimanyu Bala, Utam Kumar Bala, Sabin Nayak and hundreds of BJD workers from Basudevpur, Tihidi, Dhamnagar blocks of the district have officially joined the BJP.
On this occasion, former women general secretary of Bhubaneswar district BJD Rubina Parida, former corporator Shri Nirmal Raut, social worker Pradeeprat Parida, Ramesh Chandra Bihari, Chandrajit Rautraya, Tapaswini Mohanty, Sachla Parida, Manju Swain, Saraswati Parida, Minati Das, Tiwari Patra, Sanjukta Swain, Swati Khilar, Priyadarshani Parida, Shri G. Srinivas, social worker Lipisa Mohanty have officially left the major BJD and joined the BJP.
Similarly, Rakma Panchayat Samiti member Balagopal Sadangi of Bhapur block of Khandapada constituency in Nayagarh district, Samiti members Tapan Mohapatra, Akhil Seth, Purat Shukla, Bibhuti Jena, Subash Jena, student leader Sanjabha Keshari Sahu have officially left BJD and joined BJP.
District Council Member of Khalikot constituency in Ganjam district Mrs. Sonam Polai, senior leaders Shrikant Swain, Kuber Polai, Sarpanch Jhuinkal Tarai, Binodini Parida, Jhunu Behera, Sudhakar Gayad, Hin Khuntia, Samiti member Ahalya Dalai, youth leader Bimal Parida, Dr. Tarai and hundreds of prominent BJD leaders and workers have officially joined the BJP.
State President and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Manmohan Samal welcomed all the new members with party hats. On this occasion, ASKA MP Mrs. Anita Subhadarsani Patnaik, State Chief whip Shri Saroj Pradhan, MLAs Shri Pratap Chandra Nayak and Saroj Sethi, General Secretary Shri Biranchi Narayan Tripathi, State Secretary Shri Saroj Kar, Kisan Morcha President Shri Subhransu Mohan Padhi, Yuva Morcha State President Shri Abhilash Panda, State Spokesperson Shri Braj Kishore Mishra, Ghoomusar (ASKA) District President Shri Vijay Kumar Swain, Bhubaneswar District President Shri Niranjan Mishra, Former MLA Shri Priyadarshi Mishra, State Executive Member Shri Jagannath Pradhan and Shri Banikalyan Mohapatra were prominently present.
