BHUBANESWAR:The first meeting of the State-Level Management Committee related to the implementation of the ‘Godabarish Mishra Model Primary School’ scheme, operationalized by the State Government, was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, Ms. Anu Garg. In this convened meeting, a detailed review was conducted on the progress of infrastructure construction of Godabarish Mishra Model Primary Schools for the development of quality and inclusive primary education in the state, the implementation of the scheme, and various related matters.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Secretary of the State School and Mass Education Department presented on the role and responsibilities of the State-Level Management Committee, the implementation of the scheme, and the functionality of the State-Level Independent Cell formed for monitoring and supervision. In the meeting, emphasis was placed on the importance of inter-departmental coordination for the proper implementation of the scheme, regular progress reviews, and taking policy steps as per requirements.
A review was conducted on the progress of construction work of Godabarish Mishra Model Primary Schools by implementing agencies in various districts of the state. In the first phase, 118 and in the second phase, 204, a total of 322 schools have been included in this scheme for construction.
