BHUBANESWAR:For the past few days, there has been a continuous attempt to create anarchy in the country. After the unfortunate NEET question paper leak incident, the Central Government immediately canceled the exam and ordered an investigation. The accused was arrested. To avoid any depression in the minds of the students, it was decided to conduct the exam immediately and successfully completed it. In our state too, the exam was successfully completed under the direct supervision of the Hon’ble Chief Minister. The results were declared and the students were happy. The admission process is going to be completed in a few days. There is no need to protest at such a time. The agitation is being done only to create anarchy in the country, said Law, Excise and Works Minister  Prithiviraj Harichandan.

In a press conference held at the state office today, Shri Harichandan said that Shri Abhijit Deepke, who is leading the movement, is an active member of the AAP party. After being rejected by the people, the Aam Aadmi Party and the Left political parties are jointly creating anarchy with the Congress party. Taking the problems of the students as an excuse, the agitators are creating a bad tradition in the name of the students by abusing Prime Minister Modi ji, raising anti-national slogans, supporting terrorism and creating a bad tradition in the name of the students.
Suddenly, the JNU Tukde Tukde gang and the forces dividing the country have become very active in the country. Shri Rahul Gandhi has started drama using the students and is using them to fuel his political ambitions. Along with the extremist groups of Bangladesh, various extremist groups working in Canada and countries that are conspiring to divide India are involved. This is not a student movement, but a movement to create anarchy in the country. Therefore, Shri Harichandan has urged the students of the country and Odisha not to be distracted by such politically motivated movements, and to focus on building their own careers and join the cause of building a developed India and prosperous Odisha.
The interests of the students are of utmost importance to the Hon’ble Prime Minister and he is taking decisions with this as his top priority. Stating that the interests of the youth of the country and their future are our top priority, he has made it clear that no one who plays with the future of the youth will be spared. He has decided to set up fast track courts to ensure strict punishment to the guilty in all the question paper leak cases and for speedy disposal of the cases. Shri Harichandan said that this is an important step in the chain of disciplined decisions taken by the government to protect the interests of the students.
This is not the time for politics, but for solving the problems of students. But, the aim of the Leader of the Opposition and Congress leader Shri Rahul Gandhi in Parliament is not to discuss NEET but to create anarchy. Students and their problems should not be politicized. We want a discussion on NEET in Parliament. Students also want this. Under whatever rules we want to discuss, for as long as we want to discuss, let us discuss NEET and everything related to it in Parliament; but Rahul Gandhi is avoiding the discussion. Shri Harichandan asked why Rahul Gandhi is avoiding the discussion.
The government wants the ruling and opposition parties to discuss NEET and everything related to it in Parliament and find a solution to the paper leak problem. But Rahul Gandhi, Congress and the Indi Mahamant parties want to hold Parliament hostage, want to obstruct the functioning of the House. If you have any suggestion regarding NEET paper leak, then discuss it in the House (Parliament). But Rahul Gandhi’s aim is only to mislead the youth. Don’t do politics on such a serious issue.
The Congress and its allies, which have been repeatedly rejected by the public, want to gain political benefits by creating confusion in the public. We will not let the students be disgraced, Shri Harichandan has clearly said.
Paper leak problem and during the Congress government, there were about 69 paper leaks. But the BJP government led by the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, which has taken strict legal and administrative steps to make the examination leak-proof/(secure). Dozens of arrests have been made and three leak-proof examinations have been successfully conducted in the last one month. On the other hand, during the UPA government, the education budget was only Rs 8,225 crore, today it has reached Rs 1.39 lakh crore under the Modi government. Be it AIIMS, IT, colleges or the number of seats, there has been a huge increase in all of them compared to the Congress government. In fact, more than fifty thousand government jobs have been given in Odisha in the last two years. There have been revolutionary changes in the fields of education, health, industry etc. Completely free education from KG to PG has been introduced. But we do not want to fall into this comparison, we want a permanent solution to the problem, said Shri Harichandan.
On the other hand, two different pictures of the Biju Janata Dal, which has been ruling alone for the last fifteen years, have come to the fore. Former Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik’s statement regarding the question paper leak is like, “Sai Chuha Khake, Billi Hajko Chali”. Constable exam question paper leaked in 2015; OTET question paper leaked in 2016, 2019, 2022; Matric question paper leaked in 2018 and 2019; ASO question paper leaked in 2023. Naveen Babu did not take any action in the incident of Naveen Babu, who has lost his morals, asking any questions to the Central Government on such issues is very funny, Shri Harichandan said.
State Vice President Shri Bishnu Dash, State General Secretary Shri Sharda Prasad Satapathy, State Spokespersons Shri Sudipta Ray and Rajendra Panda and State Media Coordinator Shri Sujit Kumar Das were prominently present at this press conference.
