BHUBANESWAR:Khordha Model Police Station, acting on the direction of the Superintendent of Police, Khordha, and under the close supervision of the SDPO, Khordha and Model PS IIC Shri Ramesh Kumar Debata, conducted a special operation at Taratua Football Field near the ITBP Camp on the evening of 12.09.2026.
During the operation, one drug peddler, Kalim Khan @ Raju (28), S/o Salim Khan, of Taratua, PS-Model, District-Khordha, was apprehended while allegedly dividing Brown Sugar into small packets for sale.

– Search and seizure: Conducted in accordance with law in the presence of an Executive Magistrate and independent witnesses.

– The accused was subsequently forwarded to the Hon’ble Court with a prayer for remand.
Further investigation is underway to identify and trace the source of supply and other persons involved in the drug trafficking network.
Khordha Police reiterates its zero-tolerance policy towards drug trafficking and peddling and appeals to the public to promptly report any suspicious drug-related activities to the nearest police station.
