PURI: Dr Satyajit Naik IGP, Central Range, along with Prateek Sing SP Puri, Addl. SP, and City DSP Puri, visited Shri Lokanath Temple, Puri today to review the safety and security arrangements made for Kaudia devotees during the ongoing pilgrimage season.
The visit focused on ensuring a safe, orderly, and spiritually enriching experience for all devotees visiting the temple.
Key Highlights of the Review:
Crowd Management: Detailed assessment of entry and exit points at Lokanath Temple. Barricading has been put in place at all key points to ensure smooth darshan and regulated movement of devotees.
Traffic Regulation: Special traffic arrangements reviewed to prevent congestion. NH Patrolling is being conducted on three stretches from Uttara to Malatipatpur, Puri to ensure hassle-free movement of Kaudia yatris and other commuters.
Devotee Facilitation: Directions issued to officers on ground to provide proper guidance, drinking water, medical aid and assistance to elderly and divyang devotees.
Force Deployment: To maintain law & order and ensure public safety, 14 Platoons of police force have been deployed in and around Puri city and the temple area. Senior officers are supervising round-the-clock.
