BHUBANESWAR:An important preparatory meeting was held in Sambalpur on the occasion of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s birthday and 25 years of public service. The meeting was chaired by Sambalpur MP Shri Dharmendra Pradhan and was attended by Odisha Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Shri Ravi Narayan Nayak and Sambalpur MLA Shri Jai Narayan Mishra.
“Seva Sankalp Abhiyan – Nar Seva Hi Narayan Seva” will be celebrated for a month from September 17 to October 17. It has been decided in the meeting to make this service program successful by combining social organizations, voluntary organizations and grassroots maternal power. Various programs will be organized in almost all the constituencies of Sambalpur district for a month. The final plan of the program will be finalized soon after discussing with everyone.
During this period, Mahadeep Daan will be done in Maa Samaleswari Temple. Dimsa will be lit in all places in Sambalpur city. A massive cleanliness drive will be organized in all wards of Sambalpur city and all panchayats of the district. Various educational institutions, students, social organizations, politicians, retired teachers and regional Matru Shakti will participate in this great cleanliness drive. Direct benefits of government schemes will be provided through blood donation camps and ‘Seva Setu’ camps at the assembly/block level. All Matru Shakti including Anganwadi Didis, Asha Didis, Matru Bhawan workers working in Anganwadi centers will be promoted publicly.
To make the Prime Minister’s 25 years of uninterrupted service and journey of good governance memorable, the MP Shri Pradhan has called upon everyone to dedicate themselves to the service of the people with the mantra “Nar Seva Hi Narayan Seva”.
