TALCHER/BHUBANESWAR: An authentic book on the life of Pujya Vedanta Keshari Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati Ji has been released in Odia and Hindi by the Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati Smriti Nyas. According to Swamiji, we should make efforts to reach this holy book and his photograph to all 50,000 or so villages of Odisha, said MP and former Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

At the birth centenary celebrations of Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati Ji at Gurjung, Talcher, Shri Pradhan said that Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati Ji was a great man of the age, a spiritual seeker and a guardian of eternal culture. His ideals of renunciation, service, welfare of the forest dwellers and national defense will always guide our society. Inspired by the idea of ​​Sant Bhim Bhoi, “Let us fall into hell for my life, let the world be saved”, Swamiji dedicated his life for the welfare of the tribal and deprived communities of Odisha. He spread education, culture and culture by establishing ashrams, Sanskrit schools and Kanyashrams in remote areas like Kandhamal and Phulbani. His contribution in making the local people self-reliant and instilling pride in their religion through preventing illegal conversions, cow protection, modern farming and tree plantation is unparalleled. ‘Our primary responsibility is to imbibe the ideals of Swamiji’s centenary year before the next centenary of Odisha, which is built on the basis of language.

Shri Pradhan appreciated the efforts of the double engine government to develop Swamiji’s holy birthplace Gurjang village as a holy ‘pilgrimage site’ or ‘heritage village’. He opined that the real tribute to Swamiji would be to transform this holy land into a laboratory for social reform, self-reliance and self-reliance, empowering the underprivileged sections, children, motherhood, youth and farmer brothers of Odisha and giving them the ability to live with dignity in the society. Shri Pradhan asserted that the olive lamp of Swamiji’s blazing service and reform will illuminate the society for ages to come.

It is worth mentioning that this glorious ceremony was attended by Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Assembly Speaker Smt. Surma Padhi, Odisha Rural Development Minister Shri Ravi Naik, Dhenkanal and Kandhamal MPs, Angul, Pallahada, Hindola, Kamakshanagar, Parajang, Chendipada and Phulbani MLAs. In addition, the program was attended by venerable saints, senior workers of the Sangha family, while Shri Pradhan Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati Ji’s idol was offered and the holy yajna was performed and the presence and blessings of venerable saints were received.
