BHUBANESWAR:The Department of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry at the Institute of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (AVSH), run by the SOA has organized a seminar on various opportunities available for veterinary graduates to engage themselves in the poultry and dairy industries in India.

In this program, Dr. Pradeep P. Linge, CEO of Greenmicro, Pune, Maharashtra, was the expert and discussed through PPT the opportunities available for B.V.Sc.&A.H. graduate medical students to become self-reliant in the areas of private practice, setting up industries, government jobs, setting up poultry and dairy farms in commercial banks, preparation of milk and dairy products, and impartial distribution of poultry and poultry products.
The event was presided over by Professor (Dr) Sushant Kumar Das, Dean, AVSH and highlighted the aims and objectives of the seminar. Professor (Dr) Nab Kishore Prahraj, Head, Department of Poultry Production, delivered the welcome address.
The program saw an interactive session between both the students and the faculty. Finally, Dr. Veer Kishore Parida, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology, proposed the vote of thanks. More than a hundred students and faculty members participated in the interaction.
