PURI/BHUBANESWAR:Based on the approved guidelines (SOP) of the state government, today, Thursday, 09.04.2026, on the second day of the “second phase”, the process of counting the ornaments and valuables stored in the Ratna Bhandar (outside Ratna Bhandar) of the temple is continuing under strict security, keeping the traditions of the temple intact.
Today, when the authorized members for the counting of the Ratna Bhandar ornaments arrived at the meeting room of the temple office on time, the Chief Administrator addressed the Bonia Sevak, Tadhau Karan, and Deula Karan of the temple to keep the traditions of the temple intact and continue the counting work with determination and without succumbing to any kind of pressure.
After addressing the Bonia Sevak, Tadhau Karan, and Deula Karan of the temple, the Chief Administrator of the temple, Dr. Arvind Padhi and the members of the Ratna Bhandar High Committee, led by the Chhatisha Niyog Nayak, District Collector, Security Supervisor, Authorized Senior Officer, Ratna Bhandar Sub-Committee Sevak members and all the associates, entered the temple at 10.55 am.
Before entering the temple’s gem store, all the authorized members wore traditional attire and once again warned the chief administrator members about the process of counting in a traditional manner.
After the chief administrator along with all the supporting members had the blessings of the temple’s deities, Maa Bimala, Maa Bhubhasi, Maa Bedha Kali, and finally Maa Lakshmi Thakurani, the members involved in the counting process entered after being checked by the metal detector installed recently for security reasons. The outer gem store was opened at 12.05 in the presence of the magistrate. After the inspection of the jewelers, gemologists and weight measurement officers involved in the counting process of the jewelry from the outer gem store, all the processes were carried out in a proper manner as on the previous day. E-catalogue was done with photography, videography, 3D scanning.
After the completion of today’s inventory process, the treasury gates were closed and sealed at 6:10 PM in the presence of the magistrate. All the recording data chips of the process were kept safely in the branch office strong room in the presence of the magistrate.
Chief Administrator Dr. Arbinda Padhee expressed his sincere gratitude and thanks to all the devotees and media friends, including all the servants engaged in the temple administration, district and police, for completing the second phase of the second day of the counting process smoothly, following all the guidelines and rules of the government.
