BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi is closely monitoring the flood situation. On the directions of Hon’ble Chief Minister, the administration in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts is working round the clock.

The Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) is directly monitoring the situation in coordination with all the district administrations. Keeping the safety of the people in mind, a large number of rescue teams of NDRF, ODRAF and fire services have been deployed at the field level.

A large number of citizens from the waterlogged and affected areas, along with cattle, have been shifted to safe shelters. All necessary arrangements have been made for the shelter and food of the flood-affected people.
Cooked food is being provided through numerous relief camps and cooking centers in the affected areas. In addition, adequate quantity of rice, chudda and gud are being distributed as emergency relief. Cow fodder has been provided to protect the cattle. All the concerned officers are working non-stop at the field level to control the situation and provide relief to the people.
