BHUBANESWAR:In a press conference organized on the occasion of completing 2 years of the People’s Government, the Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said that clear goals for Odisha and a roadmap to achieve those goals have been prepared.
In that roadmap, the government has started moving forward towards the progress of the people of Odisha and in the last 2 years, 121 new schemes, programs or initiatives have been announced, which are taking Odisha closer to ‘Prosperous Odisha’, C,M Majhi said
He highlighted various people-oriented initiatives and achievements of the people’s government:-
‘Subhadra Yojana’ approved in the first cabinet of the people’s government and provided assistance of over Rs 20,600 crore in two years.
Krishi Vidyanidhi Yojana with ‘Prosperous Odisha’, establishment of 100 model mandis, conversion of PACS/LAMPCS into One-Stop Shop centers.
‘Chief Minister Annapurna Yojana’ launched.
Steps to establish ‘Godavarish Mishra Model Primary School’ in every Panchayat.
‘Ayushman Bharat-Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana’ implemented.
About 17 thousand crore rupees invested in about 9 thousand km. Roads, 57 bridges and 4 railway overbridges in the state.
Investment summits and road shows organized in various parts of the country, starting from Odisha, resulted in a total investment proposal of Rs. 20 lakh crore.

‘Basic amenities are the foundation of development. Our government is firmly committed to providing electricity, clean drinking water and good road connectivity to every village. Through ‘Mission Power’, work is progressing at a rapid pace to ensure basic amenities in every village of the state,” CM said.
State BJP President and MP Manmohan Samal, Deputy CM Pravati Parida, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, BJP poll incharge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar and Additional Chief Secretary Information and Public Relations, Home and Industry Hemant Sharma and others were among those present.
