PURI/BHUBANESWAR:BM Foundation (BMF) in association with BM Alliance Consultancy Services, hosted a free food camp at Puri to serve the countless devotees visited the holy city during this year’s Ratha Yatra. Freshly cooked meals alongwith varieties of traditional dishes, curd sherbet, lemon water and drinking water bottles were distributed free of cost among the pilgrims by BMF. The humanitarian service initiatives were successfully carried out under the able and active supervision of President of BM Foundation Dr. Braja Kishore Panda and Managing Director of BM Alliance Group Meera Mishra for nine days from Ratha Yatra on 16th July to Sunabesha on 25th July 2026. More than 150 social workers and volunteers from the BM Digital Literacy Programme participated in the food camp of BM Foundation located near Badasankha Square on the Grand Road.
BM Foundation and BM Alliance also presented a colourful cultural extravaganza consisting of the performances of Odissi dance and music at the Open-Air Theatre near Shri Gundicha Temple during the evenings of Rathayatra ceremony.As in previous years, BM Foundation also organized tree plantation drives at various locations during Ratha Yatra, Bahuda Yatra, and Suna Besha to promote environmental conservation and spread awareness about the importance of protecting the environment.These noble endeavours reflect BM Foundation’s continued commitment to social services, cultural promotion and clean environmental sustainability.
The dedicated volunteers who managed the camp include Kamya Panda, Satyanarayana Jena, Satyabrata Dash, Manoranjan Samal, Satya Panda, Biswa Das, Giridhari Panda, Sai Subhashish Mishra, Dillip Panda, Manini Ratha, Biswajit Ojha, Harihar Sahoo, Bira Sahu, Sanjay Jena, Janmajaya Pradhan, Balunkeswar Majhi, Ramesh Pradhan, Pragyan Pradhan, Jagadish Sahoo, Devi Das, Dillip Swain, Saudamini Swain, Mama Sahoo, Sonali Swain, Jayanti Swain, Payal Swain and Shiva Dash.
Addressing the campers during the conclusion of the programme,President of BM Foundation, Dr. Braja Kishore Panda, appealed to the public to join the Foundation’s various social welfare initiatives in the true spirit of ‘service to mankind is service to GOD’ and experience the blissful blessings of Lord Jagannath.
