BHUBANESWAR:After the formation of the BJP government in the state, the mind economy including mines is being given importance. The cornerstone of the new generation of industrialization is data center and AI. In order to bring transparency in the process of accelerating industrialization in the state, the 46th High Level Clearing Authority (HLC) meeting held yesterday under the chairmanship of the Honorable Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi approved the Single Window Clearance.
The approval of 27 large projects in the meeting is an important and welcome step for the industrial development of Odisha. The BJP has thanked the state government and the Chief Minister for the huge employment, industrial diversification and inclusive industrialization. With a total investment of about 2.47 lakh crores, these projects will be set up in 15 districts of the state and will create about 50,162 new employment and job opportunities. This not only reflects the magnitude of investment, but also reflects the growing opportunities for industrial, technology, infrastructure and human resource development in Odisha.
The approval of an investment of about Rs 1.43 lakh crore, especially in the IT, ITES and data center sectors, will create opportunities for Odisha’s economy to connect with new technologies and the digital economy. Along with projects like the Integrated Data Center Park proposed in Khordha, the approved data center in Cuttack Puri can further strengthen the digital infrastructure of the state and create new opportunities for AI, cloud computing, digital services and other high technology sectors in the future. This will breathe new life into the weak data center ecosystem inherited from the BJD. Along with this, investments in power, steel, semiconductors, green energy, shipbuilding and other modern industrial sectors will further diversify and strengthen Odisha’s industrial economy. The approval of thermal power projects in Deogarh and Angul will also be very conducive towards developing the state’s energy infrastructure.
