BJP dropped 4 sitting MPs , Suresh Pujari in Bargarh, Bisheswar Tudu in Mayurbhanj, Basant Panda in Kalahandi and Nitesh Ganga Deb in Sambalpur. All these leaders are expected to fight in Assembly polls.

BHUBANESWAR:  The BJP which on Sunday announced its candidates for 18 Lok Sabha seats , barring  Jajpur, Kandhamal and Cuttack, of the total 21 in Odisha , has dropped as many as 4 sitting Lok Sabha MPs in the State.

The Party is likely field them as MLA candidate in the State Assembly polls, to be held simultaneously with Lok Sabha polls.

BJP dropped 4 sitting MPs , Suresh Pujari in Bargarh, Bisheswar Tudu in Mayurbhanj, Basant Panda in Kalahandi and Nitesh Ganga Deb in Sambalpur. All these leaders are expected to fight in Assembly polls.

Party announced its candidates for 18 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha of the total 21. Party has not yet decided about candidates for Lok Sabha seats of Jajpur, Cuttack and Kandhamal,

As per the release , BJP National Vice President Baijayant Jay Panda will fight from Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat while Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan from Sambalpur, National Spokesperson, Dr Sambit Patra from Puri and Aparajita Sarangi in Bhubaneswar.

Similarly, Jual Oram in Sundargarh, Pradip Panigrahi in Berhampur, Pradeep Purohit in Bargarh, Anata Nayak in Keonjhar.

Naba Charan Majhi in Mayurbhanj, Pratap Sarangi will be Party’s candidate for Balasore Lok Sabha seat.

Avimanyu Sethi in Bhadrak, Rudra Narayan Pany in Dhenkanal, Sangeeta Singh Deo in Bolangir , Malavika Keshari Deo in Kalahandi, will be Party’s Lok Sabha candidate.

Balabhadra Majhi will be Party candidate in Nabarangpur Lok Sabha seat while Bibhu Tarai will fight from Jagatsinghpur, Anita Subhadarshini in Aska, Kaleram Majhi in Koraput. Names of the candidates for 3 more seats to be announced shortly, sources said.
