BHUBANESWAR:Due to the 12 years of good governance of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in the country and the two and a half years of people-oriented rule of the Bharatiya Janata Party government in Odisha, the opposition parties have become completely powerless today. While the people have expressed unwavering faith and trust in the BJP, the opposition is only making drama out of irrelevant issues, said State General Secretary Shri Biranchi Narayan Tripathi in a press release.
Shri Tripathi said that there has always been a huge gap between the words and actions of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD). The relationship between the BJD and the ‘Indi’ party is not new, they had a secret honeymoon long ago. There is even evidence that the parliamentary party leaders of the BJD attended the ‘Indi’ party meetings. Today, the BJD has become a ‘nirmuli lata’ in politics. To save its existence and get political support, it is sometimes chasing the ‘CJP’ and sometimes the ‘Indi’ party. After losing its relevance in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, compromising the interests of Odisha is just like “pulling the face of a thief”.
On the Congress’s double-faced policy of demanding the resignation of the Chief Electoral Officer and the Chief Electoral Officer’s office, Shri Tripathi said that the Congress, which is questioning the Election Commission, is remembering its dark history. Till date, 10 SIRs have been conducted in the country, out of which 9 were conducted during the Congress regime. The Congress, which makes big speeches about impartiality and morality, is the same Congress that included the Election Commissioner in its cabinet and nominated the Election Commissioner against Shri LK Advani. Therefore, talking about morality does not suit the Congress at all.
Hearings are going on in the Supreme Court regarding election-related issues. The Hon’ble Chief Justice has also made it clear that the Supreme Court cannot interfere in this. Earlier, an SIR was conducted in West Bengal under the supervision of the Supreme Court, but according to the opposition, no wrongdoing was found. If the opposition has any specific information or someone’s name has been intentionally omitted, then make it public and face the democratic and legal process. Just making statements in the media without any evidence is a symbol of the opposition’s desperation.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has always believed in the Constitution, democratic system and impartial rule of law. The people of the country and Odisha are with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the state BJP government and the BJP has dedicated itself to public service with dedication, said Shri Tripathi.
