BHUBANESWAR:Bhubaneswar Municipal corporation going sustainable and net zero by installing the reusable and environment friendly vetiver screens in CRUT BQS bus stops.
Under the umbrella of the Bhubaneswar Heat prevention action plan and to provide relief to commuters during the peak summer season, BMC has introduced Cool Bus Stops. The facility is equipped with vetiver screens and water sprinkling mechanisms at key locations across the city.
The cool bustop was inaugurated at Satyanagar today in presence of the Hon’ble MLA, Bhubaneswar Central, Hon’ble Mayor, Hon’ble Deputy Mayor, Additional Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and local Corporator.
Cool Bus Stop facilities are now operational at 10 locations, and 20 more of such facilities will be added in a few days.
