BHUBANESWAR: Today, B.H. Umashankar, Junior Revenue Assistant at the Patna Tehsildar’s office in Kendujhar district, has been arrested by Odisha Vigilance for accepting a bribe of Rs 6,000 from an applicant and other parties in connection with the processing of a mutation case file and for providing a land lease in their favor.
B.H Umashankar, Junior Revenue Assitant., O/o Tahasildar, Patana, Kendujhar was apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while taking a bribe of Rs.6,000/-from an applicant for processing file in a mutation case & facilitating issuance of ROR.
In this connection, Baleshwar Vigilance PS Case No.17/2026, U/s 7 PC(Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress.
