BHUBANESWAR:State President and MP Shri Manmohan Samal today arrived in Titilagarh on a day-long visit to Balangir district and first reached Titilagarh. He went to Bank Chowk in a grand procession and garlanded the statue of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee and paid homage. After this, State President Shri Samal listened to the 136th “Mann Ki Baat” radio program of the legendary Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at booth number 136 in Titilagarh city and attended a meeting with the workers of booth number 181 under ward number 15 and discussed organizational and various issues. He inaugurated the Titilagarh city party office. On this occasion, state Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, Titilagarh MLA Shri Naveen Jain, state vice-president Shri Shivaji Mohanty, state secretary Shri Saroj Kar, district in-charge and former MP Parsuram Majhi, Balangir district president Shri Sribesha Behera, NAC president Smt. Mamata Devi Jain, block president Smt. Sanju Naik and other prominent leaders of the district were present.

Rainwater conservation has become a mass movement today. It is the responsibility of all of us to ensure water security for the future by conserving every drop of rain. After Modiji raised this issue in the Mann Ki Baat program, it will give more impetus to the people of the state for rainwater harvesting, groundwater recharge and water conservation. It is the duty of all of us to take steps to conserve water in our homes, offices and living environment and create a water secure future, said State President and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Samal.
After this, the State President Shri Samal visited Kantabanji. He was welcomed in a huge motor cycle procession by party leaders and workers.
At the merger ceremony held in Kantabanji, Muribahal Block Chairman Shri Haribandhu Meher, Vice Chairman Yagya Seni Hathi, Committee members Tunamaani Mahananda, Taruni Gahir, Dushmanta Nag, Bhumisuta Bagh, Jalam Pradhani, Bhimsen Bagh, Sumitra Majhi, Dilip Bhoi, Kasturi Tandi, Pushpanjali Dharua, Jotsamayi Rana, Turaikela Block Chairman Pooja Behera, Committee members Kavita Putel, Father Vomit, Padma Bhoi, Gulapi Mahananda, Sunita Dharua, Kumari Mahananda, Mundapadar, Jurabhand, Themara, Baladha, Arshatula, Birpali, Bhuslad, Chandratara, Gandharia, Jamkhunta, Jhalpa, Kansil, Kapilbhatta, Khaira, Hundreds of BJD and Congress workers, including the Sarpanch of Aland, have formally joined the BJP. All the new members were welcomed by the State President Shri Manmohan Samal and other leaders with hats and northern attire.
As part of a special public relations campaign, Yashaswi met local intellectual Uddhav Gibela and discussed various welfare schemes of the Central Government led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the State Government led by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi.
On this occasion, Honorable Deputy Chief Minister Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, Kantabanji MLA Shri Laxman Bagh, Titilagarh MLA Shri Naveen Jain, State Vice President Shri Shivaji Mohanty, State Secretary Shri Saroj Kar, District In-charge and former MP Parsuram Majhi, Balangir District President Shri Sribesha Behera and other prominent leaders of the district were present.
