BHUBANESWAR:A low pressure is centered over East Central Bay of Bengal. It’s movement is showing West-Nortwestwards but intensification is very slow. Depression may be formed in the evening of 21st Sept.26 and Deep Depression in evening on 22nd September 2026.
The system will cross either in Ganjam or Puri district near Chilika in night of 23rd Sept. 26. After landfall on 23rd Sept, the system will change its direction of movement in Northwards then Northeastwards upto Jharkhand. There is ambiguity in landfall as system intensification is not so prominent and it may be almost stationary over South Odisha and adjoining North Andhra Pradesh. However. it will be confirmed on 22nd Sept afternoon.
Under its influence, heavy to very heavy rainfall will continue over Puri,Jagatsinghpur,Kendrapara, Ganjam,Khurda,Cuttack, Gajapati,Rayagada,Kandhamal,
