BHUBANESWAR:The legendary Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is making many efforts to empower women. To ensure their protection in politics, he brought the Nari Shakti Bandhan Act. This bill ensured 33 percent reservation of seats in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies.

This act strengthened the participation of women in politics. On the other hand, the opposition Congress and its allies do not want women to participate in politics. They are not only opposing the Bharatiya Janata Party but have hatched a grand conspiracy to not empower the entire women’s society. Which has hurt the heart of every woman. While the Congress, DMK, TMC and Samajwadi Party voted against this act in Parliament to deprive women of their rights, the BJD supported them. The women of Odisha will never forgive this.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to take to the streets to show respect and support for the agitation of women. In this context, a huge Women’s Akrosh Yatra will be held in the capital Bhubaneswar on April 22. Women from all walks of life will participate in this Yatra. Tomorrow at 4 pm, this Akrosh Yatra will start from the Exhibition Grounds and will go to Lower PMG. Small road meetings will also be held on this occasion. More than 50,000 women will participate in this Women’s Akrosh Rally, said Dr. Aishwarya Biswal, State President of the Women’s Morcha.

In a press conference held at the state office, Dr. Biswal said that many public awareness programs will also be organized. The anti-women approach of the opposition parties to the state’s mothers and sisters will be exposed through press conferences in every district of the state and major cities. Women’s Aggression Conferences will be held in all the organizational districts of the state on April 24 and 25 and Women’s Aggression Walks will be held in all the mandals of the state from April 27 to 29. Women’s Front and prominent sisters from different sections of the society will hold discussions in various colleges and universities of the state and protest against the injustice done to them.
Dr. Biswal said that due to the lack of willpower of the previous governments, women did not participate in many fields before. But under Modiji’s leadership, women have shown their excellence in all fields. They have shown their talent in all fields like education, health, science and the army. Despite this, their participation in politics is very low. According to data, there are only 14% women in the Lok Sabha, while the number of women MLAs in many states of the country is very negligible.
Therefore, Prime Minister Modi brought this act to empower them in politics. But by depriving women of their rights, the Congress-led opposition parties have created an aggressive attitude in their minds. Starting from Congress to BJD, Aam Aadmi Party, Samajwadi Party, all the parties are family-centric parties.
They only want to bring their own family women forward in politics. But BJP is the only party where ordinary women can come forward with respect. But due to lack of reservation, they have fallen behind. If the opposition party thinks they will be happy by not passing this bill, then the BJP and the general public will strongly oppose it, said Dr. Biswal.
Honorable Minister Gokulanand Mallick, State General Secretary Biranchi Narayan Tripathi, State Editors Smriti Patnaik, Pinky Pradhan, Mamata Singh, State Executive Members Jayanti Sayari, Rosalyn Das and State Panelist Prathamanti Mukdam were present at the press conference.
