BHUBANESWAR:There are various discussions going on regarding the visit of former IAS officer Shri V.K. Pandian to Venezuela. If indeed the Government of India has selected him for any official duty, then the Government should clarify the basis, purpose and role of that decision.
Normally, during disasters abroad, India sends trained personnel of the NDRF, doctors, nurses, paramedical teams, engineers, technical experts, members of the armed forces as required and officials of the Ministry of External Affairs for coordination. The decision to send such teams is taken by the Government of India, the request of the concerned country and in accordance with international humanitarian assistance principles.
Pandian was not the Secretary of the Disaster Management Department or he has not worked in any capacity and has no experience. Then on what basis was he sent to Venezuela. Was there no other Minister and Secretary of the Disaster Management Department in India?
In this context, the question arises, if Mr. Pandian was sent in any official role, then what was the basis of his appointment? On what responsibility did he go there? All these questions need to be answered by the government.
The reality is that in future, there will be an official alliance between BJD and BJP. That is, there will be a grand alliance of anti-Asmita principles and Asmita contractors. And both of them will further plunder Odisha and make it poor and destitute. Because in the 2024 general elections, both of them dug holes in each other’s pockets and Pandian was more criticized. Now, BJP is trying to create an image of Pandian. If Pandian is made great, then yes, BJD-BJP government will run in Odisha.
Otherwise, the public will ask questions: BJP has aligned itself with those whom it called anti-Asthma ideology, corrupt, looter, black marketeer, Sasikala syndrome, low-level secretary and Tamil looter. So now such a character building game is going on. None of the senior leaders of BJP are talking about the corruption, malpractice, loot, corruption, illegal activities of BJD nor is the government taking any action. BJP ministers are afraid to respond to the media against Naveen Patnaik and VK Pandian. BJD is protesting against the corruption, irregularities, illegal activities and failure of the BJP government only in press conferences. Till date, BJD has not uttered a single word against Shri Narendra Modi and Shri Amit Shah. Such a public protest is going on between both of them, with a slap in the face.
Congress and PCC President Shri Bhakta Das has thought that he will form the government by aligning with BJD. But Naveen Babu’s ‘illusion’ and Pandian’s ‘game’ are difficult to understand. However, veteran leaders like Bhakta Das are being ignored. If we are not careful while we still have time, Congress will also be ruined.
Information has been sought from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Union Home Ministry and the Ministry of External Affairs under the Right to Information Act, 2005 regarding the visit of former IAS officer Shri V.K. Pandian to Venezuela. Further disclosure will be made on the basis of the official replies received.
