BHUBANESWAR:Today is a memorable day. Madhubabu was not only the magician of Odia nationalism, he was a symbol of Odia pride. He dreamed of a developed Odisha not only in terms of political independence but also socio-economic, cultural, educational and civilized aspects. He worked for the spiritual unification of all parts of Odisha, from the coast, hills and mountains.
He succeeded in making Odisha a linguistic state through his sacrifice, penance, meditation and sincere efforts. He built a huge movement with everyone. From the 1980s till his death, Madhubabu devoted his entire life to the creation of an independent Odisha state. His ideology has influenced people. Without Madhubabu, the history of Odisha would have been different today, said State President Shri Manmohan Samal.
State President Manmohan Samal paid tributes to Madhubabu’s statue in front of Lok Bhawan in Bhubaneswar on the occasion of his 178th birth anniversary. MLA Shri Babu Singh, former minister Shri Arvind Tachali, former MLA Shri Priyadarshi Mishra, State Secretary Shri Saroj Kar, Special Invited Member of State Executive Shri Jagannath Pradhan, senior leader Shri Purna Chandra Mallik, Bhubaneswar District President Shri Niranjan Mishra and other party workers were present on the occasion.
Similarly, a photo exhibition of Madhubabu was inaugurated at the state office and floral tributes were offered. On this occasion, MP Shri Balabhadra Majhi, East India Training Coordinator Professor Dineshananda Goswami, National Executive Member Shri Sameer Mohanty, State General Secretary (Organization) Shri Manas Kumar Mohanty along with other state officials and workers were present.
