    A mentally retarded Disabled woman was lying helpless near the railway station Bargarh. However, social worker Sanghamitra Patel rescued the woman with the help of MLA Shri Debash Acharya.

    BARGARH:   A mentally retarded Disabled woman was lying helpless near the railway station Bargarh. However, social worker Sanghamitra Patel rescued the woman with the help of MLA Shri Debash Acharya.

    For more than a month, a Disabled woman was seen living in a helpless condition in front of the Bargarh railway station. She is an non oriya woman. However, when asked about her home and family, the did not answer the questions properly, so the woman was known to be mentally retarded. People were complaining that the woman used abusive language and violent behavior.

    According to the source,  Social worker Sanammitra Patel of Bargarh had been visiting the woman for the last 15 days and had been searching for her. Sanammitra also contacted her sister Bargarh MLA Shri Debesh Acharya to help the woman. Mr. Acharya expressed his desire to rescue the woman after hearing the news.

     Last Monday, May 22, in the morning, Sanghamitra and her fellow social worker  came and rescued the woman and took her to the ashram in Kandhamal. The woman was accommodated there and provided facilities for her treatment. MLA Shri Acharya Mahoday was also present during the rescue. The contribution of Mr. Bipin Bihari Panda sir, the founder of Sambalpur’s leading voluntary organization Parichaya, in this great work is indescribable. Social workers Manisha Gupta, Sathya Sahu and Saumya Prusti contributed to the rescue work.
