BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI: BJD General Secretary(Organisation) and Jajpur MLA Pranab Prakash Das alias Babby , has on Friday asked Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, as to why they failed to ensure OBC reservation in Madhya Pradesh, from where Pradhan is representing in Rajya Sabha and from where, BJP is ruling since long. In a series of tweets, Pranab Prakash Das came down heavily on Union Minister Pradhan for his tweet on OBC reservation in Odisha.
“@dpradhanbjp Bhai, you are Union Minister, elected to Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh. For how many years was your party in power there? Why did you fail to ensure OBC reservation in MP? More so now, with Supreme Court striking down MP’s OBC reservation policy for polls,” Pranab Prakash Das tweeted @pranabpdas.
“@dpradhanbjp Bhai, you are in Govt at Centre for past 7.5 years. Has OBC reservation ever been a priority? Why are you not bringing Central legislation for ensuring OBC reservation in India & filing petition for this in Supreme Court? Where is your commitment for OBCs?,’ the BJD Leader Das said in another tweet.
“@dpradhanbjp Bhai, introspect your & your Govt’s (Centre & MP) commitment to OBC; stop doing politics. Country knows how you formed Govt in MP, we got people’s mandate in #Odisha. You are scared of Panchayat polls in MP but we want to hold Panchayat polls in #Odisha,” Babby Das tweeted.
“@dpradhanbjp Bhai, BJD is committed to 40% OBC reservation in Panchayat poll tickets, we might even go upto 50% reservation. We will also publicly publish list of these OBC candidates who have been provided reservation in BJD tickets. I appeal to you to do the same for BJP,” Das said.
“@dpradhanbjp Bhai, I humbly request you, without politics, Let us fight together for ensuring that the OBCs get their rightful reservation in polls. I am sure you will extend your hand of cooperation for empowerment of OBCs,” BJD MLA Das added.
Earlier, Union Minister Pradhan in a tweet, had alleged that the State Government not serious about OBC reservation . “ଆଗାମୀ ପଞ୍ଚାୟତ ନିର୍ବାଚନ ପାଇଁ ଓବିସି ବର୍ଗଙ୍କ ସ୍ଥାନ ସଂରକ୍ଷଣ ନେଇ ଯେଉଁ ପ୍ରକାର ଘଟଣା ଘଟୁଛି, ଏଥିରୁ ରାଜ୍ୟ ସରକାର ଓବିସି ସଂରକ୍ଷଣ ବିରୋଧୀ ବୋଲି ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ମନେହେଉଛି । ମାନ୍ୟବର ହାଇକୋର୍ଟରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଆଡଭୋକେଟ୍ ଜେନେରାଲଙ୍କ ଏହି ପ୍ରସଙ୍ଗ ଉପରେ ଉପସ୍ଥାପନା ଓବିସି ବିରୋଧୀ ବୋଲି ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ଜଣାପଡ଼ୁଛି ।୫୦ ପ୍ରତିଶତରୁ ଅଧିକ ସଂରକ୍ଷଣ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଓବିସି ବର୍ଗଙ୍କୁ ଲାଭ ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ରାଜ୍ୟ ସରକାରଙ୍କ ଆବେଦନ ମାନ୍ୟବର ସୁପ୍ରିମକୋର୍ଟରେ ଦୀର୍ଘ ଦିନ ଧରି ପଡ଼ି ରହିବା ପରେ ରାଜ୍ୟ ସରକାର ଏ ବିଷୟରେ ଚିନ୍ତା ନକରିବା ଦୁଃଖଦାୟକ ଓ ଚିନ୍ତାଜନକ ।ଓବିସି ମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଞ୍ଚାୟତ ନିର୍ବାଚନରେ ସଂରକ୍ଷଣ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ସୁନିଶ୍ଚିତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ସରକାର ଆଇନଗତ ଓ ଯୁକ୍ତିସଙ୍ଗତ ଦିଗରେ ଯିବା ଭଳି ମନେ ହେଉନାହିଁ ।,’’ Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had tweeted @@dpradhanbjp.
