NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR:Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan today met Union Coal and Mines Minister Shri G. Kisan Reddy and requested him to provide a ‘Production Gift’ or production incentive amount for the current financial year to boost the morale of the workers and employees of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) and to recognize their hard work.
NALCO has achieved a record profit before tax (PBT) of Rs. 7,135 crore in the financial year 2024-25, which is a testament to the company’s capabilities. Behind this success is the continuous efforts and dedication of every worker and employee of the company, Shri Pradhan mentioned in the letter. He proposed to give a part of the total profit to the employees as ‘Production Gift’ based on the proposal of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMC) Coordination Committee of NALCO.
Earlier, in the financial year 2021-22, this facility was provided to the employees in the same manner, which created enthusiasm and excitement among the workers. This step will motivate the employees to work more. Their morale will increase. As a result, Shri Pradhan expressed the hope that it will help in increasing the production capacity and profits of the company in the coming days. Shri Pradhan has requested the Union Mines Minister to consider this proposal sympathetically, keeping in mind the institutional excellence and worker welfare.
Dhenkanal MP Shri Rudra Narayan Pani, Mayurbhanj MP Shri Naba Charan Majhi, Angul MLA Shri Pratap Chandra Pradhan and members of the BMAC Coordination Committee were also present during the meeting.
