BHUBANESWAR:For Trilochan’s innovations such as natural disaster awareness through school safety walls in various schools and public places and his significant contribution in this field, Trilochan Sahoo has been awarded the National Award by the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi, under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. A certificate, a silver plaque and a cheque of ten thousand rupees have been presented to Sri Sahoo.

The award distribution program was held for two days on September 2 and 3 this month. On the first day, the Hon’ble Rajya Sabha Member and National General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party Sj. Vinod Sridhar Tawde was the Chief Guest while the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi, Ram Shankar Dubey, Chancellor, NIEPA, Government of India, presided over the function while NIEPA Vice Chancellor Prof. Sasikala Wanjari, NIEPA Programme Director Prof. Vinita Sirohi and Registrar C. S. Surya Narayan Mishra were the guests of honour.
On the second day, Padma Shri Professor J. S. Rajput, former Director, N.C.E.R.T. was the Chief Guest and presented the National Award for Innovation to Trilochan Sahoo. During the award ceremony, the guests highly appreciated the work of Shri Sahoo. Ram Shankar Dubey, Vice Chancellor, NIEPA, Ministry of Education, Government of India, presided over the function while NIEPA Vice Chancellor, Professor Sasikala Wanjari, NIEPA Programme Director & Head, DEA, Professor Vinita Sirohi and Registrar, C. S. Surya Narayan Mishra were present as guests and presented the National Award to Trilochan Sahoo. Trilochan Sahoo has been congratulated from all quarters for this.
He often enlightens students and people on various safety and disaster management awareness. Directly and indirectly, he has involved thousands of students, teachers and parents in this and provided them with appropriate training. It has been successfully implemented in various schools of Jajpur district, while it has also been successfully implemented in various schools of Anandpur block in Keonjhar district.
Currently, Trilochan Sahoo is pursuing his PhD in Economics on Climate Change at Maharaja Sri Ram Chandra Bhanjdeo University, Baripada under the supervision of Dr. Siddheshwar Panda of MPC Autonomous College, Baripada, Odisha. In this context, all the well-wishers, including the Honorable MSCB University Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahendra Kumar Mohanty and Dr. Siddheshwar Panda, Shri Sahu’s research guide, have also congratulated him on this success.
