BHUBANESWAR:Sambalpur MP and former Union Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan has joined the ‘Seva Abhaswam’ and ‘Aangan Ka Utsav’ programs at Bamur, Kishorenagar block, Angul district, as part of the ‘Poshan Mas’ and ‘Seba Sankalp Abhiyan’ being celebrated across the country on the call of the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
During this visit, Shri Pradhan visited the Anganwadi Centre at Bamur and spent time with the children. He interacted with the Anganwadi and ASHA workers and beneficiaries and felicitated them. Addressing the programme, he said, “The role of Anganwadi and ASHA workers is very important in the primary care, mental and physical development of children. It is the moral duty of all of us to ensure the proper management of Anganwadi centres, nutrition of pregnant mothers and children and strengthen social responsibility.”
He further said, “The real foundation of building a developed Odisha in 2036 and a developed India in 2047 is our future generation and children. Every citizen must take their social responsibility to support the government’s efforts to provide proper nutrition, early care, and eliminate malnutrition and anemia for children. The all-round development of every child can be achieved only through the joint cooperation, empathy, and active participation of the society.”
Shri Pradhan called for a massive mass movement to ensure proper nutrition for children for a healthy and prosperous life, maintain cleanliness, eliminate single-use plastic waste and create a drug-free environment in the society. Finally, he wished a bright, healthy and prosperous future for all children.
