BHUBANESWAR: West Bengal Industries Minister and Trinamool Congress secretary general Partho Chatterjee was discharged from the AIIMS Bhubaneswar on Monday as he was not diagnosed with major illnesses, according to the hospital’s Executive Director Dr Biswas.

A four-member doctors’ team examined the condition of Chatterjee.

Chatterjee had been brought to the AIIMS here from Kolkata by air ambulance earlier in the morning following a direction from the Calcutta High Court. The AIIMS Bhubaneswar submitted its report to the High Court.

Chatterjee has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) along with actress Arpita Banerjee in a money laundering case after a cash of Rs 2 crore was seized from an associate of his in Kolkata a few days ago.
