BHUBANESWAR:The overall progress of any region depends on its education system. Therefore, we have to give special importance to employment-based education along with education in the 21st century, so that every child can become self-reliant and self-reliant in the future, said Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.
The Union Education Minister, who participated in the ground-breaking ceremony of the permanent campus of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pallahda and the inauguration of the temporary campus, expressed his emotional connection with the land of Pallahda through video conferencing. He said, Pallahda has given me the identity of a public representative and the main asset of this region is education. As per the advice of the National Education Policy in the 21st century, we have to provide employment-oriented, skill-based and vocational education to the children of this region. Education is effective only when it can easily reach the children of the poor and neglected sections of the society. For this, we all have to make a joint effort towards providing comprehensive and inclusive education.
The Central School to be established in Pallahda under the guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will be very helpful in providing quality and modern education to the students of the surrounding areas. This school will set a new beacon of education for children of all sections of society in the coming days. The permanent campus for which the ground was laid today will soon emerge as a strong education center with modern classrooms, advanced labs, sports grounds and rich library facilities. Education is the main key to building a developed Odisha by utilizing its full potential and this Central School will play an important role in this direction, the Union Minister asserted.
Highlighting the immense potential of the Pallahada region of Angul district, he said that along with general agriculture, local fisheries should also be promoted extensively here. Special emphasis will be given to increasing fish production and its export with the joint cooperation of the Central and State Governments. Emphasizing on transforming the special taste and identity of the local ‘Malyagiri Hill’ into a big brand, the Minister presented a beautiful example. He said that just as an immigrant couple from Odisha living in faraway Germany has prepared ‘Malyagiri Achar’ there and introduced Malyagiri as a special brand, similarly we also have to promote the local products here by giving them the form of a brand.
