Suresh Mohapatra Takes Over as Odisha’s Chief Secretary

BHUBANESWAR: The 1986-batch IAS officer Suresh Chandra Mahapatra  on Friday assumed charge as the Chief Secretary of Odisha replacing Asit Kumar Tripathy, who retired on December 31, 2020.

Prior to his appointment as the new Chief Secretary, the 1986-batch IAS officer was serving as the Development Commissioner and holding additional charge as the Working Chairperson of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Puri.

Meanwhile, 1989-batch Odisha cadre IAS officer Pradeep Jena on Friday assumed  charge as new Development Commissioner of the State

Jena, who is serving as the Additional Chief Secretary in Revenue & Disaster Management Department and the Special Relief Commissioner, took the charge as the Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary to Odisha Government replacing the new Chief Secretary Suresh Mohapatra.
