Stranded Odias gets Food materials in Surat after BJP Leader Baijayant Panda intervenes

NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: Timely intervention by BJP National VP-Spokesperson and 4th times former MP, Baijayant’Jay’ Panda, near about 60 Odia people, mostly workers, got food materials in Surat in Gujarat, sources said on Thursday.

Due to lockdown, some 57 people have been stranded at Surat and they mostly were from Nayagarh and Khorda districts. After knowing this, Panda took up the matter with party top brasses in Gujarat and arranged food and shelters for them.

It may be mentioned here, that due to senior BJP leader Panda’s efforts, many Odias in Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Surat, New Delhi, Mumbai and other major cities have got food materials and shelters.

The former MP Panda, since the lockdown put in place, has been in constant touch with party leaders and workers across the Country and including in his home State of Odisha, sources said. The senior BJP leader Panda has been also regularly holding video conference with concerned authorities for safe stay of Odia people outside Odisha.
