BHUBANESWAR/NUAPADA:The Nuapada by-election is being held in a difficult situation due to the demise of late Rajendra Dholakia, who was elected as an MLA in the last general election. The voting process has ended peacefully today and according to the information of the State Election Officer, a record 75.37 percent voting has been done till 5 pm. This rate is likely to increase further.

The way the election was conducted peacefully and impartially today and the people of Nuapada are very grateful for their cooperation. Many congratulations for participating in the great festival of democracy as conscious citizens and voting in record numbers. Along with this, BJP State President Shri Manmohan Samal has also thanked all the polling officers, presiding officers, election officers, all the police personnel and officials responsible for conducting peaceful and impartial elections and the media.

The record number of votes and the overwhelming vote count have made the BJP’s victory clear. State President Shri Samal said that we fought this election based on the ideology and principles of BJP and also thanked the thousands of workers who contributed to this.
Seeing their certain defeat, the opposition parties are scared and are making false allegations of vote theft.
They are making false allegations without reviewing the defeat. BJP has lost 7 out of the last 8 elections. It reviewed the reasons for the defeat, did not blame the rules and regulations. After correcting the mistakes, it finally won. For the first time, BJP formed the government in Odisha. On the other hand, both the BJD and the Congress parties are unable to let go of the hangover of power after being in power for many years. They cannot tolerate defeat. They have continued to try to mislead by making baseless allegations, said Shri Samal.
Former state president and senior leader Shri Basant Panda, senior MLA Shri Jayanarayan Mishra, senior leader Prasanna Padhi, state general secretary Shri Biranchi Narayan Tripathi, district president Shri Kamlesh Dixit were prominently present on the occasion.
