BHUBANESWAR:Due to the deep depression in the Bay of Bengal, there has been a lot of damage and destruction across the state. Due to the incessant rain, the water level of all the rivers in the state has risen, creating a flood threat again.
The efforts being made by the state government to deal with this natural disaster as before are commendable. Emphasizing ‘Zero Casualty’, people living in low-lying and vulnerable areas are being shifted to safer areas. Priority is being given to serving cooked food in cyclone shelters and dry food is being provided. The current focus is on clearing roads and restoring communication, and providing electricity and drinking water to the people. The state government is continuing its war-like efforts to normalize the situation in the affected areas. In this regard, State President Manmohan Samal has thanked the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Revenue Minister and the entire team of the state government.
