State Cabinet Approves Several Key Projects

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Cabinet headed by Chief Minister  Naveen Patnaik has approved key proposals. Major decisions include upgrading CET, Bhubaneswar into a non-affiliating unitary university in name & style of OUTR, amendment of Odisha Civil Services (Criteria for Promotion)Rules,1992.

The State Cabinet has also approved proposal for amendment of Odisha sub-ordinate Statistics & Economics Service Rules,1994, amendment of the Odisha Govt Land Settlement Act,1962, and amendment of Indian Stamp Act, 1899.

2 largest rural drinking water supply projects for Sundargarh district got approval in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister  Patnaik Over 6 lakh people from 10 blocks will benefit from this while the 24-month deadline for the project is set.

Chief Minister  Patnaik has approved large rural water supply project for Cuttack district in cabinet meeting on importance to supply drinking water to rural people. With this, more than 2.50 lakh people will get pure drinking water. More than ₹ 275.39 crore will be spent for this.

Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik Tender in cabinet meeting to provide pure drinking water to every household of Joda and Champua towns. State government will spend Rs 103.855 crore for this while it aims to end it by August 2023.

Chief Minister  Patnaik has approved the amendment of Landjama Solutions Act-1962 in cabinet meeting for easy handover of various types of lands. By this, the problem of land ownership in Ganjam, Gajapati, Kalahandi and other areas will be solved easily.
