BHUBANESWAR:The NSS Bureau, run by the SOA, has distributed relief materials to Jhaira village under Pattamundai block of flood-hit Kendrapara district. The village was badly affected by the floods.
NSS volunteers from the SOA-run Institute of Agricultural Sciences (IAS), Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER) and Sam Nursing College Campus-1 distributed chuda, biscuits, ORS, sanitary items, candles, matches, mosquito repellent, water bottles, etc.
Sarpanch of Jhaira village, Shri Lipu Raut, extended his utmost support to the NSS volunteers of Soa. The relief distribution programme was organized by NSS Programme Officer of Soa Agricultural College, Professor Dr. Satya Narayan Satapathy and NSS employee of the University, Shri Raj Shekhar Behera. The programme was organized under the direct supervision of NSS Programme Coordinator Dr. Kamal Lochana Mahanta.
