BHUBANESWAR: Renowned vocalist Pranab Patnaik passes away. Passed away at the age of 88 while undergoing treatment.
Died in a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. He was a renowned vocalist in the world of Odia music. Born on January 20, 1938. He was active in the music world for five decades. She made her singing debut in the Odia film Maa.
Noted musician and vocalist Pranab Kishore Patnaik passed away at the age of 88 at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. Late Patnaik dominated the world of Odia music for six decades. He has sung in more than 200 films and non-films.
His melodious songs still touch the hearts of Odia listeners and his contribution to enriching the world of Odia music will always be remembered. State President Shri Manmohan Samal expressed deep grief and said that the demise of this unique musician has caused an irreparable loss to the world of Odia art and culture.

Member of Parliament and former Union Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan has expressed grief over the demise of Odisha’s renowned vocalist Pranab Patnaik.
He said, “I am saddened and heartbroken to hear the news of Shri Patnaik’s demise. For decades, he created a special place in the hearts of many listeners through his melodious voice and emotional singing style. His demise has created an irreplaceable void in the world of Odisha music and culture. His contribution to the field of Odia music and film music will be unparalleled and unforgettable.”
Shri Pradhan prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
