BHUBANESWAR:Social activist and RTI activist Shri Prakash Das has been addressed as the ‘Anti-Corruption Fighter’ for his significant contribution to the social campaign against corruption and injustice along with effective implementation of the Right to Information Act, establishment of transparency and accountability. A special program organized on the occasion of the launch day of ‘Asima Odisha’ media house at Gita Govinda Bhawan in Bhubaneswar was held to felicitate and honor many individuals who have made significant contributions in various fields of society.
On this occasion, Honorable Former Bhubaneswar MP Shri Prasanna Pattashani appreciated the social and Right to Information movement-related work of Shri Prakash Das. Shri Pattashani said that the example that Shri Prakash Das has set as a conscious citizen in Odisha by continuously raising his voice against corruption, irregularities and injustice from a young age is certainly commendable. Such efforts for public interest, cleanliness and accountability further strengthen the democratic system.
He advised Shri Prakash Das to continue his awareness and rights-based campaign on various issues related to public interest in the coming days as well. Along with this, he expressed the view that wherever the question of corruption, injustice or irregularities arises, whether it is the previous government or the current government, the voice of public interest should be raised impartially.
After being honoured, Shri Prakash Das expressed his heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the organizers and Shri Prasanna Pattshani. He said that this honour is not just a recognition for him, but also a moral motivation to further strengthen his efforts for cleanliness, accountability, good governance and public welfare.
He expressed his resolve to continuously work towards making the Right to Information Act more effective as a powerful tool to protect public rights and ensure transparency in government processes.
The launch and felicitation ceremony was attended by many esteemed personalities from various fields, social workers, journalists, intellectuals and distinguished guests, making the event a success and a grand success.
