PURI/BHUBANESWAR:On the sixteenth day of the chariot construction, the team of workers building the three chariots arrived at the chariot workshop before 8:00 AM and began their construction work by giving their attendance.
Yesterday, the construction of three wheels of the three chariots was completed in parallel, and after the auspicious puja of each of the three chariots, the work of rounding both sides of the chariots continued.
One of the three chariots, each with its own axle, has been completed with both sides rounded.
Out of the total 42 wheels of the three chariots, 10 wheels of the three chariots have been completed as of today.
As of today, three wheels of the Taladhwaj Rath and the Dwarka Dalan Rath have been completed, while four wheels of the Nandighosha Rath have been completed.* The fourth wheel of the Taladhwaj Rath has been installed in the tumba, after which the front wall has been covered, the measuring marks for the cutting have been placed on the wheel and the cutting of the wheel for the fifth wheel is in progress. In addition, the remaining part of the fifth wheel has been measured and cut and the face has been completed. Similarly, the cutting marks on the wheels of the fourth and fifth wheels of the Dwarka Dalan Rath have been completed. In addition, the work of cutting both the sides and the first 12-foot ground beams of the three chariots has been completed. In addition, the work of cutting the four ground beams required for the first and middle ground of the three chariots has also been completed.
The Rupkar Sevaks have carved the image of Nrusimha on the three chariots’ shafts.
At the temporary blacksmith shop in Dolavedi, the necessary slats for 10 wheels of three chariots have been completed and the slats for the remaining wheels have been made. The slats are also being made, as well as the outer slats and outer slats for the remaining wheels.
*This evening, all the members of the Rath Construction Supervision Committee and all the staff members of the Shrimandir Management Committee supervised the construction of the chariot.
